Recognizing God as Creator, and oneself and others as created, gives rise to awareness that there are distinctions and the distinctions clarify and illumine the good. This awareness gives us awe and pause to consider our spouse and others as distinct souls with inherent dignity. Dignity directly resulting from their being created by God in His image and likeness.
